True spirit of Christmas shines through--4-year-old plays Santa to needy kids
Dollar Dog club member, Daniel Kyle (age 4-1/2), showed what a big heart he has during this Christmas season. Daniel came in to the office right before Christmas with a plan. He had saved his Paw Punches throughout the entire year when he made deposits to his account. Daniel used his Paw Punches to purchase toys from the Dollar Dog prize cabinet for both boys and girls. He then gave those toys to Operation Blessing, a local charity, to distribute to less fortunate children in our area.
Our hats are off to this young man for putting others before himself this holiday season. Way to go Daniel! You are an inspiration to us all and a blessing to the kids that you helped this Christmas.
Dollar Dog Stocking Winner
Dollar Dog presented each member of the kids club with a $5 deposit to their savings account and 5 free paw punches for Christmas this year. On December 21, club member, 10 year old Christopher Febinger from
Cleburne, was chosen in a random drawing as the winner of our GIANT 8-foot-tall Christmas stocking filled with toys. If your child or grandchild isn't signed up for membership yet, come see us! This is a great way to teach your child about saving money and setting goals.

United Way Day of Caring
Employees of MCU participated in the United Way's annual Day of Caring event held this year on October 3. Volunteers worked on various projects throughout the Cleburne, Burleson, Keene, Alvarado and Joshua communities. Many non-profit organizations benefited from this event and projects completed consisted of wheel-chair ramps being built, landscaping completed, electrical work, painting, window cleaning, personal care bags for veterans, pet care packages for Meals-on-Wheels recipients and more. This is an annual event that benefits Johnson County non-profits and is open to anyone who would like to volunteer and make a difference for our community. We hope to work alongside you next year!
