MCU members help raise money for needy kids
During the months of October, November and December MCU's auto loan promotion resulted in $2,150 being donated to the Salvation Army's Christmas Angel Tree program. The funds were donated on behalf of every member who refinanced or purchased a new auto of $10,000 or more. The donations were used by the Salvation Army to purchase Christmas gifts and clothing for underprivileged children right here in Johnson County. Members who took advantage of the promotion also received a $100 Visa gift card to get their Christmas shopping off to a good start as well having no payments due on their new loan for 3 months. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped make the program a huge success!
Dollar Dog Corner
MCU is pleased to announce the winner of our 1st Annual Dollar Dog Kids Club Christmas Card Contest, Kailee Duke, age 8 of Burleson. Kailee's design was featured on the front of the Members Credit Union Christmas card. She was awarded with a deposit of $50 to her Dollar Dog Kids Club account at MCU for the winning entry in addition to credit for her design on the back of the card.
The winner of our World's Largest Christmas Stocking was Jayden Holt of Burleson. The name was drawn during the annual Dollar Dog Christmas Party held on December 18th at the Joshua Community Room. More than 90 club members enjoyed lots of food, fun, games and plenty of up-close and personal time with Dollar Dog. Every club member who attended left the party with their very own Dollar Dog t-shirt.
 The Dollar Dog Kids Club is open to any child up to 12 years old. The club helps children learn about the fun of saving money. In addition to a new account gift when the account is opened, children are rewarded with paw punches each time they make a deposit of $5 or more. They can then use the punches to "buy" prizes from the prize cabinet located in each branch. Dollar Dog hosts several events and contests throughout the year for club members.
Annual Meeting Notice
The Annual Membership Meeting of Members Credit Union will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at the Cleburne Civic Center. See the Official Meeting Announcement for a list of nominees for the Board of Directors and voting procedures. The closing date for nomination by petition is Thursday, February 14, 2008.
